The Monticello Area Alano Society provides a place where 12 – step groups can safely meet and provide support to those reaching out for the miracle that the steps can provide. Our members are on the front lines of a battle, fighting discouragement, frustration, loneliness and despair; the kinds of enemies that drive people to unhealthy solutions or environments.
Dating Clubs Near Monticello Georgia
Fowler Hill wrote an article titled Your Life in 1953. He states “Club life for ex-drunks is A.A.’s second miracle. It speeds the cure and social readjustment of ordinary case-hardened alcoholics; it transforms many of A.A.’s black sheep into shining examples of its evangelical philosophy.” That is our goal at the Monticello Alano Society, we provide fellowship, education, and spiritual support for those recovering from alcoholism and drug addiction and creating an oasis for 12-step work.
You can attend any meetings here free of charge. Donations given during the meeting will go to pay rent, helping to support the Alano Society and the 12 step program you are attending in general. If you would like to know more about what a specific group does with donations, feel free to speak to the group secretary or treasurer of that meeting.
Each meeting held at the Monticello Area Alano Society is conducted by an autonomous group, and each group pays rent to the Society to help with expenses. Membership in the Society is independent of membership in any of the various organizations that use the facilities for their meetings.
Membership is voluntary and open to all. Members include anyone who supports the objectives of the Alano and pledge to the Monticello Area Alano Society through the payment of dues.
The Alano Society is governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees elected from club membership.
PURPOSE
The purpose of this non profit Corporation shall be to provide time and space as provided in the By-Laws for the meetings and social functions of A.A., Al-anon, Alateen and others affected by chemical abuse who are actively working towards their recovery through the use of the 12 steps and 12 traditions as prescribed by the squad they specifically attend.
We:
Assure a safe meeting place will be available.
Keep the doors open for the next recovering person.
